Harsha Institute of Physiotherapy has made a consistent and conscious effort to always improve the
quality of education of our students by organizing and conducting academic workshop. The primary
goal of the workshop is to offer all our students a theoretical and practical knowledge and, also train
them to explore themselves in the new areas of research in the field of Physiotherapy.
On 20th Feb 2024, a workshop was conducted on topic “INTERGRATED MANUAL
THERAPY APPROACH FOR PERIPHERAL JOINT DISORDERS” and the resource person
was Dr. PEARLSON K, MPT(Aus), Professor & Sports Physiotherapist, Director – Shree
Sarada Academy, Founder of Federation of Indian Manual Therapist.
Sir is been a compassionate and sports therapist with extensive
knowledge in sports injuries and therapy. He is been a renowned expert
with over 25years of clinical experience in providing physical
rehabilitation programs, therapeutic exercises, and Integrated Manual
Therapy program to improve patient mobility, strength, and
coordination. Sir has been committed to providing excellent patient
care, service and has been recognised for the quick and successful
recovery of over 1lakh patients since 25years.
Sir has been awarded as “PROFESSOR EMERITUS” on 7th April 2021
at RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES in recognition of eminent services
rendered to the health science education.
The workshop session was attended by 150 students and the faculty of Physiotherapy department. The
session provided both students and practitioners with all the information and background they need to
allow them to use Manual therapy techniques safely & effectively to treat peripheral joint disorders.
The ‘hands on’ approach and close supervision by Dr.Pearlson sir during workshop develop one’s
skills of palpation and mobilization very well. It also gave a firm belief that excellence in the treatment
and management of neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions can only be obtained as result of the
application of a logical, systematic, careful, intellectual examination and assessment strategy.

   
The session has enhanced therapist and students in learning and applying them to practice for betteroutcome in the modern world.
