GNM professionals play a key role in assisting physicians in various medical settings such as an operation theatre, hospital wards, clinics, etc. Moreover, they also work towards educating communities on the spread of diseases and prevention of the same. The responsibilities of a midwife are quite similar to those of a general nurse. However, the latter specializes in offering medical care to pregnant women, new-born and children.
