The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is designed to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and professional values required to deliver compassionate care in any healthcare setting. The program spans for a duration of four years and combines classroom learning, laboratory training, and clinical experience.

GENERAL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY (GNM)

The GNM course emphasizes on topics that educate students on the importance of community healthcare and midwifery. GNM professionals play a key role in assisting physicians in various medical settings such as an operation theatre, hospital wards, clinics, etc. Moreover, they also work towards educating communities on the spread of diseases and prevention of the same. The responsibilities of a midwife are quite similar to those of a general nurse. However, the latter specializes in offering medical care to pregnant women, new-born and children. Midwives are trained to precisely understand the general labour process and detect complications if any. As a result, they are able to efficiently handle several high-risk pregnancies such as placenta Previa, breech presentation, twin births, etc.
