I am Ms. Keertishree Basavaraj Kalyani, a proud final year student of Victory College of Nursing, a part of the esteemed Harsha Institutions.
As the famous saying goes, “College life is the golden life” — and for me, this truly came to life here. When I first stepped into my degree life, I was scared and anxious. It was my first time away from home, away from my parents, and stepping into hostel life was both exciting and intimidating. But the reality was far more beautiful and comforting than I had ever expected.
On the day of my admission, I had the privilege to meet the backbone of Harsha Institutions, our Chairman Mr. S. Shivakumar Sir — a kind, humble, and good-hearted leader. His warm words and inspiring presence gave me the confidence to become a part of this wonderful institution.
After joining, I felt a homely atmosphere in the hostel, and the food was just like home — a small but important comfort that made a big difference. The infrastructure here is well-developed, and the college provides a peaceful, positive environment for students to grow.
Academic Excellence
Throughout my journey at Harsha Institutions, I was guided by well-trained and experienced faculty members who taught us not just from textbooks, but also about life, values, and professionalism. True to their motto — “Providing Quality Education” — they have been committed to ensuring we receive the best.
Our teachers utilize modern teaching tools such as PowerPoint presentations, models, and interactive sessions for both theory and practical classes. They always go beyond the syllabus, encouraging us to explore every sector of nursing. We were given not just classroom lessons, but also hands-on practical skills training and regular clinical postings, helping us gain real-world experience in the nursing field.
Additionally, the institution organizes certificate courses to boost our knowledge and professional skillset, making us more confident and career-ready. I feel truly fortunate and grateful to be part of all these programs and to belong to this inspiring institution.

Professional Exposure and Programs
My journey in this noble profession began with the traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony, the first official and most meaningful event in a nursing student’s life. It was a moment of pride, symbolizing the light of care, compassion, and service that we carry forward as future nurses.
Throughout the years, the institution provided us with countless opportunities to grow professionally. I had the chance to attend various health programs, seminars, Basic Life Support (BLS) training, blood donation camps, and community health camps.
One of the most memorable experiences was participating in a health camp organized by the institution on the occasion of the founder chairmen’s birthday. It was a proud and inspiring moment to contribute to a program of such scale and impact.
Every single day, I feel excited and privileged to be a part of Harsha Institutions, where learning goes far beyond the classroom.

Co-curricular and Cultural Enrichment
Victory College of Nursing doesn’t just focus on academics — it also gives equal importance to co-curricular and cultural activities that refresh and energize both staff and students. The institution regularly conducts sports events, cultural programs, and festival celebrations to enhance our creativity, confidence, and unity.
As the proverb says, “Participation is more important than winning,” and our management wholeheartedly supports this spirit. I’ve had the opportunity to actively participate in many of these events, and one of the proudest moments for me was winning the Kabaddi competition last year — for which I was awarded a certificate and medal. It made me feel incredibly proud and motivated.
As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people.” Through various celebrations and programs, I got to learn about the rich diversity of cultures, festivals, and traditions from different parts of India. I also made wonderful friendships with students from all over the country — which made this journey even more meaningful.
As I stand at the edge of completing my nursing journey, I look back with immense gratitude, pride, and joy. Victory College of Nursing under Harsha Institutions has shaped me into a confident, skilled, and compassionate individual — ready to serve and make a difference in the world.
This institution has not only given me knowledge but also unforgettable memories, valuable friendships, and life lessons that I will carry forever. I wholeheartedly thank the management, my beloved teachers, supportive friends, and every person who has been a part of this beautiful journey.
Wherever life takes me next, I will always carry the spirit of Harsha Institutions with me — with a heart full of respect and a mind ready to serve.
Thank you for being the foundation of my future.
